My TP-Link PCI-Card is AR 5008.
After pm-suspend, there isn't found the router, no IP. Iwlist scan - nothing.
In Ubuntu lucid and maverick, and in aptosid the same problem.
I tried rmmod ath9k before suspend, but it didn't work. The device is found but
no IP...
Pm-hibernate works.

I tried with lucid Live-CD and had the problem with thunderbird too.
The error message was:

The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server

my kernel is 2.6.31-14-generic. in post #74, I went to tty console and
typed sudo stop gdm and afterwards sudo pm-suspend. It worked for one
time. I don´t know if it always works.
In post #71, I was in gnome-terminal and X and first typed export
PM_DEBUG=true and then sudo pm-suspend.

I didn´t change files in pm-utils. And I don´t know, why /usr/lib/pm-
utils/sleep.d/99video is disabled.
When I only type sudo pm-suspend in gnome-terminal, my machine doesn´t
wake up. It is frozen and does not respond for any key. I didn´t try in
a tty console, but I tried with init 1, the same a
when I type export PM_DEBUG=true and then sudo pm-suspend, the lappie is waking
up.
echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace and then sudo pm-suspend, it works too.
But only sudo pm-suspend or typing the button, it doesn´t resume. I
tried with init 1, and it didn´t work too.

I had the same problem with jaunty kubuntu, I think kde 4.1. With
openoffice.org-kde installed, openoffice -writer was freezing, when I
clicked in the menu - file and save or insert a graphics. After
deinstalling and installing again without openoffice.org-kde, it works.
