I'm now running the patches against 4.20.7 with
firmware=RM.4.4.1.c2-00057-QCARMSWP-1 and I'm seeing some issues in the
log after resume, however the wifi does work fine.

I've been testing the patches you linked above on Fedora 29 against
4.19.15-302 for about two weeks and so far I haven't had wifi disappear.
I'm reasonably certain that I've lost bluetooth at least once so I'm
not quite sure whether the results are just a conicidence.

I forgot to add, I'm currently using an older firmware version
RM.4.4.1.c2-00057-QCARMSWP-1 (which is mostly a leftover of searching
for one that doesn't result in crashes). If you'd like to get any logs
or or want me to run any tests, I'll gladly help.

I am having the same problem on Karmic i386.
I'm using an Nvidia card as well and the problem exists with FF 3 as
well as with 3.5.

This seems to be due to the 9 byte packgage format used by dells dualpoint.
There is a patch[0] on the lkml that fixes that behaviour, though it's probably
not perfect its a fine workaround for me.
