During the new 9.10 login. Pressing the blue circle with the white man in it
brings up the "Universal Access Preferences" dialog box.
selecting "enhance contrast in colours" then de-selecting does not return to

Grub updated the kernel boot info to the wrong partition and I did not
notice during boot up.
Everything "IS" fine now.

Is there some way to revert the system back to 7.10 (which worked fine)?
I cant afford the time or money this 8.04 upgrade has cost me.

eg running glxgears gives the error -> xlib: extention "GLX" missing on
display ":0.0"
This is true but adding it in any way makes it all crash back to 800x600

7.10 the current system is unusable and I may have to rebuild 7.10
again. This is not making me too happy at the moment.

PS I am a fairly high level user 20y+ experience and have set up a great
number of Ubuntu's over the years for many people but I still can
about 4
restarts. I had to enable the NVIDIA driver but it did work, thanks for
the help.
