The same with my Dell Latitude D420. The overheating (w/o hanging up) was present with 8.xx but later it was fixed. Ubuntu 9.x didn't have this problem. 10.04 overheats and running processor intensive tasks reach over 80C and hangs up. Please help! I had to move back to WinXP :( -- Laptop overhea
