I can confirm this occurs with the latest Gutsy Beta CD on my laptop, a
Compaq NC6000 with ATI Mobility Radeon 9600, 1400x1050 lcd.
I can't get the LiveCD to run in either normal or safe mode without
getting a screen full of gibberish as soon as X fires up.
