I have no problems with a iConcepts USB wireless keyboard and mouse.
Boots fine. The problem occurs with a disk in the tray at boot.

The 10.04 i386 rc does not boot on my Asus AliveSata2-GLAN/A/ASR

I was told in Ubuntu forums that this problem was unique to me. What
arrogance. It is a problem for a bunch of us since 8.04. Over a year
later and still not addressed. Seems they do not give a rats a$$ whether
CD or DVD drives work. Like Windows, backward compatibility is of no

I finally got mine working by editing fstab after finding the fix in a google
search.

I have a fresh install of Jaunty done just yesterday. I decided to
reinstall it since my dual boot gives access to my data partition. Same
problem. Since 7.10 works flawlessly at burning and detecting the disks.

I got 7.10 in by switching monitors. Works flawlessly. Definitely not a
hardware issue.

All is fine on my spare e machines. 8.10 works flawlessly. I tried to
install 7.10 on my primary machine. After a resolution problem it went
in. But I can not load any repositories for 7.10. It does how ever see
all cds/dvds. Since the repositories will not refresh It was an exercise
in futility.
Fresh upgrade of Jaunty and the issue is still the for me. In Hardy and
Intrepid I could reboot with the medium in the drives and burn using
Nautilus. Jaunty recognizes them on boot at start up but is not seeing
the blank disk in any burning program. I'm fairly new to Ubuntu, only
since Gutsy. I'm

The Thuderbrowse extension will work, kind of. It's a bit awkward but
the links will open inside Tbird . The right click: Visit in Browser
does not work on my machine. The other options are working fine. And
fast too. I guess I can live with it.
