libdpkg-perl is already a dependency of debhelper, so I didn't have any
objections in adding it to dh-python (which extends debhelper).
The problem is python3 package depends on dh-python - that's because
dh_python3 script was provided by python3 package in the past and not

for a sync with Debian experimental (1.0-1 is in experimental since

new migrate upstream release will be 0.5 compatible (it will even require it,
IIRC) - one of upstreams (Jan) maintains the package in Debian and promised to
release new version before Lenny release.

FTR: I didn't upload SQLAlchemy 0.5 to Debian unstable not only to ease
testing reverse dependencies in Lenny, but also due to the fact that
some reverse dependencies (like: migrate, anki or gourmet) are not
compatible with 0.5 yet (i.e. "python-sqlalchemy (<< 0.5~)" will be
added to some packages
about python-simplejson - python-sphinx since 0.5-1 has "python (>=2.6)
| python-simplejson" in Recommends (it tries to import python2.6's json
module if possible), so if python2.6 will be default, python-simplejson
will not be needed
about python-jinja - Sphinx will move to Jinja2 in next months
0.4.3 is in Debian unstable, 0.5 in Debian experimental
