It is enough to just rebuild the package and change the dependency. I
did that and I add it as attachment.

In my case the laptop goes to sleep and doesn't wakeup. Sometime (1 of
10) it wakeups successfully. In edgy, dapper and breezy it worked
without any problem.

Problem was with IDE driver. I updated kernel and initramfs and it
started to load PATA driver (libata). So it is working by itself.

I now have kernel 2.6.20-14-generic. I tried to remove content from /etc
/initramfs-tools/modules. And I really still have to call all the
commands (loading modules, evms_start AND mounting the root directory -
without it it returns me back to shell).

I have a Thinkpad X31 laptop. I upgraded from edgy to feisty. I am using
Lilo, LVM and XFS. After upgrade the system stopped booting.
Every time I end in initramfs and I have to write:
modprobe piix
modprobe ide-disk
evms_activate
mount /dev/evms/lvm2/Main/data /root -t xfs

We are using LDAP for authentication even on laptops. We have quiet
small LDAP database (< 100MiB) without kerberos. Because laptop needs to
work even when offline or when connected to
I have Thinkpad X31 with Pentium M 1.4 GHz and I don't have any problems
with cpu frequency scaling in dapper and edgy.
I didn't modify anything (or I can't remeber that). Just the basic
installation.

I can confirm this problem.
I use LDAP authorization with ccreds and when I don't have local account
(/etc/passwd+/etc/shadow) I can't login from screensaver.
The same configuration works great for sudo/gdm/ssh/
