I am still using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Voyager version) and (now) Gimp 2.8.
But I do not use Penpartner anymore due to incompatibility and/or rather
restricted possibilities.

Discovered that installing Mypaint (in Ubuntu software) is very helpfull: after
that the penpartner can be used fully functional.
Only in Gimp there are still problems: the eraser does nog work here and the
side buttons behave unexpected.

Same here with Medion Desktop PC and Samsung extern hard disk (USB).

Here same problem after a fresh install of 9.10.
But found a possible cause: by increasing (in my case) the bootloader
(grub2)menu reslolution (in Startup-Manager). After a restart the text had
disappeared.
Disadvantage: Text in the bootloader is very small now and hard to read.
