sorry, guys I've changed my "rendering backend" to "OpenGL 3.1". System

I have the same issue on my Dell Latitude-E6330. It happens till a
number of times when you just have to go to tty1 and do a reboot. OR
sometimes, after a long time after the freeze, the session forcefully
closes and you have to log in again.

Well, I was able to fix this by opening gnome-tweak tool and setting the
"have file manager handle the desktop" to false. I have not investigated
this though.

I saw a fix somewhere I can't really recall. This involved modifying the
facebook.provider file:
/usr/share/accounts/providers/facebook.provider
Add a line:
['https','http']
under the line:
Then you can restart gnome-shell or simply log out and back in.
IT worked for me.
