Having trouble with this still. I've installed the packages and made
the changes to machine type and qemu as stated above. These are the

Seeing this same problem on 11.04, linux-image-generic 2.6.38.10.25.
Disabling cron.d/mdadm for now, but would like to see a better solution
eventually. Probably going to move our kvm images off onto NAS anyway
though.

Short followup to my previous comment #54. The workaround is
functioning well for me now. I think I had a typo in my first round of
testing.

Unfortunately this workaround isn't as reliable as adding (the sloppier)
"/etc/init.d/networking restart" to my /etc/rc.local.

Is there a workaround for this on 10.04.2? I'd rather that the bond
came up the first time so the subsequent network dependent daemons could
run properly rather than having to do a "/etc/init.d/networking restart"
in rc.local as suggested by the forum thread.

Late command is wonky too. I have to install it twice because the first

apt-get -y install sudo-ldap

Thomas, I don't think you need to run gconf-editor at all. This is what
does it for me on Natty 11.04:

After more investigation, I found the root of the problem is that the
firmware files "rtl_nic/rtl8168d-2.fw" and "rtl_nic/rtl8168d-1.fw" were
not being properly installed by "d-i hw-detect/load_firmware boolean

I see this problem too, but it isn't cured by a restart. Package files
are somehow getting corrupted by acng, and this on two separate
installations. I have to go in and clear out the old files from the
