Could we please get a better response than an automated message and an
attempt to get rid of the bug? Is there a reason this patch can't be
applied? What are we waiting for?

Someone in #xorg told me about a workaround a while ago. In 6800GT_2's
Device section, change "Screen 2" to "Screen 0". It sounds entirely too
stupid, but it works.

Of course, since the network is down, host takes a while to time out, delaying
my "ifdown" command. Shouldn't this be in if-down.d instead?

FWIW, the hidden SSID network here started working after I upgraded to the
latest ipw3945 driver (1.2.0) on my feisty machine.
Grab it at http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/#downloads . It's rather easy to
compile. Don't need new microcode or regulatory daemon for 1.2.0 -- the ones in

Edgy seems to have /bin/sh linked by default to dash. dash cannot handle
"return -1" used in update-flashplugin. I'm guessing "return -1" is not
POSIXful. Perhaps bash would be a better choice.
