Hi Brian,
without adding the release string in the releases.sh the image created
will give an error from usb-creator like invalid string "trusty" at the
end of the burning process.
I hardcoded this change to my system and it solves the problem.

I see the Ubuntu logo with the dot booting the system, then I heard the
drum roll sound and the system ends with screen corruption (see the

Yes, making this apt/lists cleaning optional would solve the problem for
us. We've plenty of space, actual image with the italian translation,
docs and customizations it is just 670Mb. I'm just wondering how this

Using USB Creator (precise) for creating an usb stick with a custom
image we get
Invalid version string '"Precise"'
At the end of the process. The image's working anyway.
A guy in the Italian Team checked inside the image and according him the
problem is into the file .disk
