Sorry, this machine is being used by me for work and I don't want to
risk it with 12.04, if you like I can install 12.04 on virtual box just
for fun.
Anyway eventually the compiz has crashed on this machine. I have restarted it.
I think that the problem has to do with the fact that I'm using Len

Compiz - Memory Leak and high CPU until- Unity 11.10

After one week of work compiz takes ~500MiB of Memory usage and high CPU
utilizaiton. See top below.

I may jumped the gun, but since that I needed the machine urgently for
work, and since that at some point my gnome didnt work. i moved to 32
bit. Ubuntu is running okay now it recognized all of my 8gig ram and
most of the problems are gone.

Hello and sorry for the late reply... I hope you still have time to help out.
I have removed all the files from the dist-upgrade dir updated the upgraded the
device and did "sudo do-release-upgrade" attached please fine the entire
content of the directory.

process failed. Can't remember where is the log file. Don't know what is

I recieved an error:sudo ppa-purge ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates[sudo] password
for odeds: sudo: ppa-purge: command not found
So I installed the ppa-purge (don't know what it does but still...) then i used
the udo ppa-purge ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates command as described below
