After re-installing ubuntu dapper everything seems to work fine...
Have no clue what was the problem but I'm over it.

I'm using standard Ubuntu Dapper...
The bug happens even if not in text box, just do Alt + Shift and than press
backspace...
I just cannot work with the system that way! could it be something in my
keyboard specific or something I installed ?
