Compiz does not seem to run as smoothly as it should.moving windows around the
screen should be smoother

This problem dissapears when i go to System->Preferences->CompizConfig Setting
Public bug reported:
When firefox is running maximized compiz lags. For example when firefox window
is maximized and I click on the place/applications/system menus the
appearing/disappearing of the menu delays (sth like slow motion). Furthermore,
when maximising or minimizing firefox windows I
atempuser, I have an amd64 bit system and the problem doesn't occure.
However, in a random basis system does not respond to mouse clicks.
Maybe this bug (i reported it today) has to do with the bug you
reported. Does this happen to you?
