It requires + sign before local version identifier, like:
os-proper breaks logic, set by /etc/default/grub in case, when

This bug is also present in Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial LTS (if to be straight -
I use Linux Mint 18.1, based on it).
Can we correct it and backport to 16.04 LTS?
This bug is absent in current Debian unstable.
