This is on dualhead ATI and Linux 2.6.27-11-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 19:28:32
UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU
I have now installed 2.6.27.11 and done a couple of suspend/resumes.
Initially the log looks OK, but as the stack traces don't appear every time I
will monitor the log under this kernel version.

Whoops.
Searching through my logs I found an instance of the warn_on_slowpath under the
2.6.27-9.19-generic kernel.
(I also found some interesting "ext3_discard_reservation" entries, for
another bug report...)
I will try with the 2.6.27.11 kernel.

I'm using a Macbook2,1.
I have not tested with 2.6.27.11 yet, but the stack trace is not present in
messages under kernel 2.6.27-9.19-generic.

I can't suspend by closing the lid.
In earlier versions of Ubuntu, suspend on closing of lid was not enabled by
default, which is probably why this does not work.

This issue seems to have disappeared.
I wonder if some kernel or driver update has resolved the issue?
The scary-looking stacktraces are not present in recent suspend/resume
logs (2009-01-27).

I am not sure why lspci has been requested, as the malfunctioning device
is a usb device.
I have attached output from both "lspci -vvnn" and "lsusb -v".

I tried suspending the machine today, this time with my screensaver disabled.
The machine usually freezes showing the screensaver.
The machine tried to suspend, and then resumed spontaneously without entering
suspend.
The following stacktrace appears multiple times:

Solving Bug #282415 does not solve the frozen cursor problem after all.
I just see Bug #280290 sometimes instead of the frozen cursor.

I may have made a premature conclusion here.
I saw Bug #292139 again.
I think this bug and Bug #292139 are related. Same workaround can be
applied.

When a suspend fails, the following occurs:

4) Hard drive light flashes occasionally

Yes. It is very annoying.
I have seen that logging on as another user after resume can restore
cursor movement as well.
