I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop with Ubuntu 8.10.
For a long time I have had problems with Ubuntu does not close properly,

I have exactly the same problem. I tried to add "rmmod snd_hda_intel" to
/etc/default/halt, but it did not work.
