Exploration of fractional glyphs revealed u2158 (⅘) renders with
denominator as "8" rather than "5". (4/8) in the lato font family.
Screenshot shows this in character map. Also verified using Libre
Office.

this was successful before a clean install to Lucid 10.04
In lucid, in non-interactive mode (in accordance with my .noterc file), note
errors with
