There is one external API change. In < 0.4.0 I had documented that
px_proxy_factory_get_proxies() would never return NULL. In 0.4.0 that
is no longer the case. All though technically ABI is probably unchanged
(its a grey area), I thought it better safe than sorry to bump the
soname. Apps writte
To be clear, there is ONE, SMALL API change. In versions >= 0.4.0 the
function px_proxy_factory_get_proxies() may return NULL. Applications
that didn't consider this case should be fixed regardless. Apps that do
consider this case will work on both versions. libproxy 0.4.0 does
include a soname
This is unrelated to libproxy, since the "pac+" is an internal
implementation detail and is never exported to the environment or
otherwise exposed via the API.

going into about:config and setting layout.css.dpi = 0 (rather than -1)
seems to tell firefox/thunderbird to ignore the GNOME dpi setting and at
least makes it usable.

This bug is *not* a duplicate of #11498. Problem still exists in gutsy
as of today. This is only for firefox/thunderbird and not for the rest
of GNOME which works properly.

Attached is the patch on mozilla.org bug #235062 reworked to apply
against the firefox in edgy. Keywords work in firefox, but not in
epiphany. I recompiled epiphany with the new firefox-dev and it still
didn't change anything.
