Just to expand on details, this bug *is* happening on Dell Vostro 3550 with Ubuntu 11, but the correct shortcut key is Fn + F3. It works as photonic reported (notification popup is displayed correctly, but the touchpad behavior is not modified). Fn+F6 controls the keyboard lights, and this shortcu
