Today I run Ubuntu 12.04 and FX 15.0 and there's no problem of freezing.

More tests showed me that this is not when switching tab that the problem
happens but when trying to use the History menu commands.
I tried launching FX in safe mode, no tabs open except the main one with Google

There's probably a network slowdown problem over this. However it should not
affect tile loading display.
