If you look at the instruction of installation of binary or source code
compilation from the original source, ncl will traditionally install in
/usr/local/ncl
Then environment NCARG_ROOT is set to /usr/local/ncl. The ncl folder contains
bin, lib and include folders.

I confirmed I have this bug. In addition I don't install any other stuff like
ibus-gtk. However when I kill the ibus-daemon, the problem dissapears.

'I think what's happening is that the installer is putting the
supplemental files in a non-standard location (for NCL), which is
/usr/share/ncarg, and hence in addition to NCARG_ROOT, you need to
setenv NCARG_NCARG to /usr/share/ncarg.

ncl was added to Ubuntu repository in 14.04. Previously to run ncl you need to
install the binary from the ncl website.
As can be seen in http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Download/install.shtml . This program

For me, I;m not sure the exact bug as it is. But when I opened Mendeley
Desktop, and try to send citation to OpenOffice, Mendeley crashed down.
Mendeley works well in 12.04.
