After trying version 0.9.4 (1.0 Alpha 2) named 'Razi' I have decided to remove
it and go back to version 0.6.6 from synaptic.

I am having similar problems.
Additionally there is an annoying issue with my mouse pointer. It is
'flickering'. But only on a few vertical positions. Horizontal I haven't
realized this flickering.

Could you try the following script (that works for me)?

sudo chmod 777 /proc/fsam7440/radio
echo 1 > /proc/fsam7440/radio
sudo chmod 755 /proc/fsam7440/radio
exit 0
May be not the best way, but works for me...
