I was seeing the same behavior described above, but I had added the
following to In /etc/default/locale:
LC_ALL=C
I have since removed this setting, and now indicator-datetime is
functioning normally for me.

Martin, I tested the combined rule you suggested and it did not work for
me. I tried both KERNEL=="hiddev*|hidraw*" and then I tried
KERNEL=="hidraw*|hiddev*" just in case the order mattered. However,
David Lichterman's suggestion in comment #22 of switching to
KERNEL=="hidraw*" just for product id
I have this problem with 9.04 on two different machines.
1. I select New, Compose Message opens with cursor in To field.
2. Type "ybo" and autofill suggests "yb...@domainiwant.com"
3. Hit Enter and autofill inserts "YVONNE BOWZ "
4. If I copy and past the autofill insert it pastes as: "YVONNE BOWZ

foomatic/pxlmono driver is buggy.

Forgot to add this was a clean install, not an upgrade. Printer worked
fine in 8.10, 8.04, and earlier.

Same problem. Jaunty final, HP LaserJet 3200 squares instead of some
characters. Either black (white bg) or white (black bg) in test pages
and from Oo.o. Using default recommended foomatic driver.

Scratch that for vim, it works after I installed vim-python and "set
mouse=a". :)
I believe that the other applications are the result of vte no longer
sending arrow up/down keypresses when using a mouse wheel, since those
applications do not actually have mouse wheel support built-in. This is

I noticed the same thing on a fresh install of Intrepid on i386. Mouse
wheel scrolling works for command line history, but not for vim, screen,
man, etc. I tried installing Terminator from trunk (rev 576), and saw
the same behaviour.

this bug re-appeared in version 0.99.2-1ubuntu3.1 on my dapper amd64
system when going through the automatic upgrade. I was able temporarily
"fix" it on my system by editing /var/lib/dpkg/info/quagga.prerm and
changing the "exit 1" to "exit 0" on line 16 as described in the
original bug submission
