[Bug 1860921] Re: Missing window decorations in VNC

2020-04-06 Thread Mitch Deoudes
I came here looking for a fix to this for my Mint 19.3 (Ubuntu 18.04) install. So the problem may be older than 19.10. The closest thing I've found to an explanation is here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/339593/missing-icons-for-headless-xfce- session-via-vnc But none of those fixes work. On

I'm getting this with Banshee 2.6.2 running on Linux Mint 17.2 (based on ubuntu 14.04). Tons (5-10 per track) of these when run from a shell: (Banshee:21511): GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 7112 was not found when attempting to remove it -- You received this bug notification because you are a memb

[Bug 978604] Re: Banshee/Rhythmbox regularly stop playing audio when left on in the background

2014-02-28 Thread Mitch Deoudes
Confirming that this problem exists on Mint Petra, Banshee 2.6.1-3, pulseaudio 1:4.0-0ubuntu6. Same behavior - banshee will move to a new track, play a fraction of a second, then stop. Play/pause button is ineffectual. Grabbing the time slider and jiggling it starts playback. Turning off gaples

Regarding the patch in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217550";>Bug #217550 (which has now been marked a dupe of this one) - the relevant command is given as: dbus-send --system --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal "$BLOCK_UDI" org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume.Eject array:string:"" where BLOCK_UDI is

[Bug 217550] Re: Receive kio_media_mounthelper error when removing usb device

2008-05-22 Thread Mitch Deoudes
Tested the above patch in an up-to-date (as of today) Hardy install. I no longer get an error message when right-click-Safely-Removing, and the device unmounts, but it does not eject. This is with an ipod. Also, kdeeject does nothing from the command line or from amarok - not even unmount the d

I can confirm this as well, for 2.6.17-10-generic. The various logs requested above are attached. amarok, kaffeine, et al freeze when playing, when sound is broken. Also, running "acpi-utls stop/start" doesn't seem to do anything at all. It requires a reboot to get sound working again. ** Attach
