Yesterday afternoon leaving with disconnecting usb drive.
When returned (after 8 'o clock) the system was unresponsive.

My troubles looks perfectly the same.
I've figured out how to get it to work some time ago, but my HDD failed, and
afther new install, the problem is back and I don't remember how I did it.

SOLVED
Open a terminal and issue:
hcitool dev
sudo hciconfig reset
hcitool scan
sudo hcitool cc
On my machine it looks like this:
a...@acutake:~$ hcitool dev
Devices:
hci000:0A:3A:88:3A:0E
a...@acutake:~$ sudo hciconfig hci0 reset
a...@acutake:~$ hcitool scan
Scanning ...
