I'm sorry to say this, but it seems that this issue still remains in
openjdk-6 version 6b14-1.4.1-0ubuntu7.
I'm trying to run Liferay w/ openjdk-6 (with -Djava.awt.headless=true)
but some of the administration functionality is broken because of this
issue. Here's what Tomcat's log says:

Hello all,
I'm using Jaunty on Samsung NC10 and I installed linux-backport-modules-
jaunty. Now I've been using Ubuntu for few days w/o major networking
problems. WPA2 occassionally fails with some routers, but that's an
another issue. I'd like to add that before installing backport modules I

kernel module.

This is no longer an issue for me. Our company has upgraded most of the
Ubuntu workstations to 8.10 without any problems with FX.

I just realized that I failed to restart Firefox properly after the
latest update and there was a "zombie" process running. After I killed
that process and started a new Firefox instance, everything was working
again. Sorry for my groundless comments above.

I just found out that search (from page) functionality (from menu or by
pressing Ctrl+F) is also broken.

Same problem here after the latest update: I can't switch tabs with
mouse (Ctrl+Tab works) and there's no way to enter an URL (the field
doesn't accept enter and the arrow icon is not working). Only way to
enter URL's is to use search engine such as Google.

It seems like NoClassDefFoundError is actually caused by a
SecurityException; see following stack trace. The ACE is caused by the
fact that IcedTea doesn't (yet) support signed applets and therefore
applets are ran in untrusted mode (I guess).
