When copying files from the OPPO A73 phone of an arbitrary filesize the
copy (seems to mostly reach around 400MB) and then crashed with an error
that it couldn't read my home directory.
The problem does not seem to be with the phone as it copies 12gn
successfully on an OpenSu
Clicking "Try Ubuntu" on 12.10 live CD has same result for my computer -
display of background image only and, in general, no response to keys.

When I asked for 2 copies of a document to be printed on my Brother HL-3040CN
printer, 8 copies were printed instead.
Software: Ubuntu 12.04, evince 3.4.0

Added precise-proposed as a software source and updated system. Printed
from PDF files to Brother HL-3040CN printer - resolution now as

I have similar problems with my Brother HL3040CN printer. Took a Libre
Office document and exported as pdf. Printing pdf file from evince
generates text at about 100dpi. Printing to HP F2180 is OK. Printing
direct from Libre Office to Brother HL3040CN was OK.

Was updating a fresh install of Ubunutu 64-bit 9.10 (10.04 wouldn't
boot!). Motherboard = Asus P54G41T-M LX, processor = Intel E7500.
Update hung at the point of configuring grub and wouldn't boot the
updated version.

I get the same problem consistently while booting Mythbuntu 10.04 Alpha
3 AMD64 on my laptop - Acer 4315. Will try and upload screenshot.

Just tested in Ubunutu 8.04 and Open Office 2.4 It was fine. Looks
like problem has been fixed with new releases.

I'm not sure if this is the same problem. The attached file opens OK in
edit mode, but the slideshow consumes all available RAM and swap space.
(Slideshow is fine under MS Windows XP and Open Office 2.3.1, so it
appears to be an Ubuntu/Linux issue)
