I have the same problem on Maverick RC. My location in time zone
settings was Asia/Istanbul. Changing to Europe/Istanbul fixed the
problem. Why was it set to Asia in the first place? Installation was
done the usual way with correct location selection being made.

Omer, thanks for feedback. I just checked on my other system with the
same font settings, and the text is actually the same weight as menu
entries. Really strange, I guess, something wrong with my system indeed.

No matter what theme is set in Gwibber preferences, Gwibber appears to
not obey default font size set in fonts control panel, but uses smaller
dimensions for text within the reading area.

Yes, sorry, I've fixed the bug (wrong translation in gtk) and forgot to
close the bugreport.
BTW, this is one of the examples of bad translation work, harming the
community..
