[Bug 47649] Re: Landscape PDF printed as portrait (and truncated)

2009-01-09 Thread Melanie F.
Apologies for asking what's probably a stupid question, but from what I can tell cups - 1.3.9-2ubuntu6 is only available with Intrepid. For those of us with earlier releases, how do we install this, and will it fix the bug? (Guess that's 2 stupid questions.) -- Landscape PDF printed as portrait (

Okay, I gave up and installed xpdf. But how does one use it? I don't see any way of adjusting print settings. Is there a man page I failed to download? I can't find anything on their site. I've figured out that a right-click brings up a limited menu, but there's no help file. The "?" is only the "

2008-12-01 Thread Melanie F.
I can certainly confirm the bug in kpdf. Over on the bug 47649 page they suggest using xpdf. Have you tried that? I haven't tried Adobe, because if I wanted to use it, I have an old Windows install I could use. -- Landscape PDF documents get printed portrait, truncated https://bugs.launchpad.net/

[Bug 281834] Re: KDE File Chooser for all GTK apps

2008-11-12 Thread Melanie F.
It's not so much that the file chooser is foreign, it's that it's clunky and not as configurable as KDE's. I'm a "naive just-use-it computer user" and I'd love to see this implemented. -- KDE File Chooser for all GTK apps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/281834 You received this bug notification b

Sebastien, as I understand it, the bug is in wodim, which Debian-based distributions use instead of cdrecord. I suspect this is a duplicate of bug 149076 and if I could figure out Launchpad, I'd report it as such. -- cd/dvd burning does not work in gutsy and hardy(latest update) https://bugs.laun

I use KDE 3.5.9 on Kubuntu Hardy and it just happened to me, using Synaptic. I don't have gksu running so I have no idea what to kill. All I did was fetch updates. -- gnome-app-install - "ldconfig deferred processing now taking place" does not end https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156041 You recei
