I'm also running intrepid. This all started for me after moving from
kde3 to kde4. This also occurs in kuickshow if I attempt to delete
something. I have mediamanager and kdemultimedia-kio-plugins installed,
but like the person above this problem still exists.

I've had this bug in debian. Apparently it followed over me to Ubuntu
and was not fixed. So I'll be typing away on my USB keyboard. Then it
just dies. All input fails. No toggle keys, nothing. Mouse still works.
