Hi guys,
just wanted to add that I'm affected of this bug, too. (Ubuntu 10.04 amd64 with
all available updates)
Is there currently anything helpfull that I can do?

I experience exactly the same bad behaviour whenever I plug in my iPod
Touch - an I've got exactly the same mouse. I'ts always the same
regardless of which usb port the mouse and / or the iPod is plugged in.
I plug in the iPod and the mouse gets completely locked up.
Which kind of additional debug
