Yes, of course.
While preparing this document, I found another detail: when choosing a
slide-transition from the dialog "new impress document", the transistions
worked as expected. So I choosed "no transition" and added it later on.

transitions don't work properly: the transition does not change form one
slide to the next. Instead of this, the next slide appears immediatly
and the transition then changes from the new slide to itself.

After upgrading from 7.10, I had the same problem. Thanks to your
description, I found a work-around.
I added a new user to the system and replaced the
~/.openoffice.org2/user/config file with the new users one.
