Yes, and in karmic seems to be a problem with dns anyhow. I installed pdns-recursor. Now it works without the additional lines and also browsing is as fast as usual again (e.g. this site). BTW, there's no problem with my provider's name server. Cheers, Martin -- package ttf-mscorefonts-install
