I am reporting a reproducible bug where file systems fail to mount,
seeming *triggered* by an early X server crash. The X server crash
itself has been reported elsewhere. This report is about the effect on
mountall's mounting of file systems. I would appreciate any pointers on

I can't make mvisa's suggestion (#21) work. Whatever I do, the bluetooth
LED just keeps flashing on the keyboard. The diNovo is still a total
loss under Lucid, but only under Lucid.

It is possible to display the graphics files by replacing the filter box
contents with "*". Most of the time this will not actually let you
insert the picture though; the error box "Unknown graphic format" is
displayed after confirming the selection. In my most recent test this
happens every time.
I did two more things. I ran Memtest86+ (v. 2.11) repeatedly on the
machine, with no errors. Then I tried installing the 2.6.30-rc7 kernel
(image-386, headers-all and headers-386) from http://kernel.ubuntu.com

I was experiencing Bug #300693 ("Thinkpad T61p hardlock flashing caps
lock") on a Thinkpad T61. This is on a standard Jaunty 386 generic
install, up to date as of 2009-05-16. After installing linux-backports-
modules-jaunty, as suggested in the comments to that bug report, the

wireless network in network manager (this turned off the wireless LED).
But a few minutes later the machine hung anyway. I noticed that the

Since these are brittle devices, with crappy FAT file systems, that
often get yanked without unmounting, the problem is fairly common. For

Just tested with wine 1.0-rc2. The symptoms are the same. Unlike armo, I
was not able to make them go away by avoiding SSL. I even switched off
SSL as best as I could in IE:s settings, then restarted it. That did not
have an effect.

I can confirm this bug with a fully updated Hardy as of this moment. It
applies to both the Hardy version of Wine and to version 1.0-rc1.

Knoppix CD, that has previously been successful in waking the device up
