I believe I got a similar issue. Sound plays fine through the speakers,
but when I plug in my headphones they do not work and the speakers stop
playing sound too.

I have got a similar problem. Resuming from sleep on my Macbook Pro 3,1
does not work anymore since I run 10.04. I had no such problems on 9.10.

It also happens on amd64 if you try to use jockey-gtk and change the
driver. The auth window appears, but stays grey.
A workaround is to run jockey-gtk as su.

On FF 1.5.0.5 the bug seems to be fixed. Instead of crashing, FF just
does not display the SVG and shows the plain XML-source.
