I have encountered the same bug in 11.04 . Sometimes it helps to open a
new firefox window and close it on the desktop with the maximized
firefox window that is without the focus. As a result, the original
window regains the focus. However, this trick has to be repeated
frequently to regain the foc
With an up-to-date Oneiric (kernel and distribution), I can use external
monitor only. However, I have experienced some crashes of compiz while
changing the display settings (reported separately). So, it is possible
that bug 791752 has resurfaced in the latest natty kernel.

After an upgrade to 2.6.38-12-generic, I cannot use my laptop with
external monitor only (laptop screen disabled). In this configuration
the both monitors don't receive any signal. The configuration work
perfectly (LVDS1 off, HDMI1 primary) with older kernel
[2.6.38-11-generic
After installing an upgraded kernel, I had no problems with uswsusp.

I would like to confirm that the same problem occurs on Ubuntu 10.04 on
x201. While compiling a bigger project using make -j4, the temperature
increased to 90+C while on auto. After that I forced disengaged mode
manually, leading to the increase of fan speed and reduction of
temperature.

I am using Thinkpad X201 (natty, unity) with docking station and an
external monitor attached via DP -> HDMI. Note that I have packed all

The problem disappeared with the more recent kernels. Right now we use
LTSP with 2.6.22-14-386 kernel. We haven't tried even more recent
versions, the upgrade is planned in the near future. I guess, you could
