No matter what is in xorg.conf or gnome monitors.xml, display settings
including monitor position and resolution are applied upon logging into
Gnome Shell. The only workaround right now is to kill gnome-settings-
daemon and restart it while in the session, which will apply the

This bug affects me on only 1 of my 4 Oneiric machines running the full
release, not the RC. I did a reinstall fresh and everything worked
without this problem until I installed ifenslave and setup a bond0

occur when opening an open file dialog that uses GTK however. The error

I tried that and it did not even move the panel. i have resorted to
offsetting the secondary x display by 1 pixel vertically, so the panel
is forced to stay on monitor 1.
