This bug no longer appears. On my installation of 10.10. I do not
know what changed to make it go away. It must have ben one of the
updates since I reported the bug.

When I create an appointment or ask Evolution to look up an email
address with auto-completion, it pauses for about 15 seconds. It looks
like it is waiting for something, then times out and recovers.

I had the same problems as b355_etude. I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10.
After install I ran the update tool and was offered a choice to change
the grub configuration to the developer's version or keep the current.
I chose to view the differences. From the differences window I hit
"cancel" thinking
