I installed the proposed pocket knewstuff packages with Discover >
Settings > Software Sources > Updates Tab > Check Pre-released updates.

booted. Krunner launced kinfocenter which reports KDE Plasma 5.12.6, FW,

I started a Kubuntu 18.04 VM with -proposed enabled.
I started Discover, and saw an update to 5.12.5.1 was available.
Applied updates. Discover suggested a re-boot, so I re-booted my VM.
After a re-boot, I started Discover again.
I typed 'latte' (without the single quotes) in the search box and

I enabled Proposed (Pre-release Updates) to my VM using Discover, and rebooted,
and tested:
- Discover Launched from the notification widget and successfully applied a
system update
- Alt F2 launched Krunner and I successfully invoked kinfocenter
- Kinfocenter Successfully returned K
Enabling Proposed (Pre-released Updates) on Kubuntu 18.04 got me KDE
Plasma 5.12.5 as well as VLC 3.0.2, so I re-booted.
I successfully added a Pocast via an RSS link, and played it.

On Fedora 22 KDE Spin, Apper reports that open-vm-tools-desktop is 9.10.0-4.fc22
I wonder if Fedora's 9.10.0 is ahead of Ubuntu's 9.4.6 and this can be resolved
by packaging the newer release.
