This in NOT A BUG in my case this was a hardware not a software issue.
The Kingston mini SD to SD adapter lock button sometimes brushes against
the side of the SD slot as it is inserted in the Acer AspireOne 250 & it

I have a lifechat 3000 usb headset. Each time I reboot I need to go into
sound settings & set this as the default device. Previously these
settings were remembered on reboot / hybernate
