After installing updates, I've rebooted my computer, and after rebooting
the resolution on the monitor was wrong (too low) and after entering my
password, the unity desktop would never appear.

I experimentally built pyjack for quantal. It's in my PPA.

Version 0.15.2-0ubuntu0.1 allows me to render videos. If I start pitivi
from the console, I see some Python stack traces and other errors, but
they are not preventing me from rendering the videos. The main bug seems
to be fixed.

Same problem here. I do have IPv6 enabled in the network.
My workaround is running this command:
sudo service network-manager restart
Unfortunately, it temporarily brings down the network interfaces, so not
a great thing to do when I'm in the middle of a VoIP call.

When compiling miniupnpd, I didn't have any issues with header files,
perhaps they were resolved in later miniupnpd versions. I've built a
proof of concept and uploaded it to my PPA.
