I can confirm this is still an issue. Deckard's solution helped, but it
only looks at the DBEXCLUDE parameter if you are also setting the
configuration parameter DBNAMES line to "all" in the
/etc/default/automysqlbackup file.
By default, the configuration file has these defaults:
DBNAMES=`mysql
I would like to thank Mark Shuttleworth for his straight talking which
has cleared the fog in my head. For weeks I have been using (fighting)
Unity with a blind faith that it will refine into a likable and
productive Desktop UI that smallish businesses would be seduced by
consequently buying into C

This 19" widescreen user thinks that the Dash should permanently open at
the size the user has set as a personal preference.
Personally I agree with DK's proposed solution as I too am fed up with
always having to click on the expand button in the lower right hand
corner to force it to full screen.
Is there a workaround in the mean time? I have a newly installed Ubuntu
Studio 10.4 box, with a USB wireless dongle which the kernel is
correctly recognising, but no way to make it actually connect. This
despite installing the vanilla Ubuntu 10.4 NetworkManager from .debs

The problem with this project is that it hasn't ever been a truly open
development process. The source code that is released and available to
everyone under GPL (currently version 3.6) is not the same as the one
Novell uses. Novell has a private development branch that they haven't
opened up. So
