i have test the integrate sound realtek, and that works.
so it's a problem with the usb audio drivers.

amixer -co return that:
Invalid card number.

with this change, my card isn't recognized.
i can't see it in the sound utility, and the sound controller does not work.
the actual alsa-base file:
options snd-usb-audio index=0# autoloader aliases

my usb plantronics headset, who works with dapper and edgy, no longer works
with feisty.
in the sound utility, i have 3 options:
-USB audio
-ALSA
-OSS
but only usb audio test works. other modes give me a:
"audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample !
