I found out that if the lyrics plugin is installed and active banshee freezes. I tested this by disabling all the plugins then enabling them one at a time (on their own) and trying to play a song. Banshee consistantally froze when the lyrics plugin was enabled. -- Banshee (sometimes) freezes on s
