I think Firefox might have something to do with the problem, as it seems
that when I close it, the menu bar / launcher auto-hides.
I'm running Firefox 5.0.
Can anyone confirm this?

Same problem here.
I'm using two monitors. The smaller of the two has the menu bar on its
left edge.
It's starting to drive me a bit crazy, as it obscures a valuable part of
the screen. Maybe it's possible to hide the menu bar manually? If not
- perhaps this would be a good feature?

Hi
I'm still getting this error on a regular basis -> especially when I
plug or unplug the power (and the power states change). It generally
leads to a system freeze and I loose work.
I'm currently running Jaunty with 2.6.30-020630-generic.
Is there anything I could do to prevent this error fro

I've found that the problem occurs when I have a panel located on the
left-side of my gnome viewport.
After moving the panel back to it's initial location at the bottom of the
screen, the problem cleared up.

gnome-panel just hung again. I checked in top, and it was using 85% of the
CPU and approx. 255MB of ram.
if there's a way I can use backtrace to successfully obtain the required
info, please let me know.

Same problem here. Brand new NC10 - I've been going to suspend
manually, but this time shut lid. On resume, I ended up with an ATA
problem and had to force a shutdown.
