I have the same problem with a Dell Vostro v131. Worked in 12.10, but
not 13.04.

The same of MikeRich happened to me. When i was enabling MapsGL, my
screen blinked.

no, i tried to reproduce but now when the empathy connects to Gtalk the
application freezes.
the steps was, i started the empathy (already exists a Gtalk account) and when
the aplication was connected i clicked in Edit menu. So the application crashed.
