Hybrid Graphics w
It seems that the problem was a package I built and which installed bindings
inside /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/
removing that folder solved the problem..
Any idea?

using 65bit Ubuntu 9.04.
Note that this happen also with pidgin coming from pidgin-develop repository
